JReviews Deploy is a separate Joomla component / WordPress plugin that allows updating everything with just a single click.
Have a backup before you upgrade and make sure you are able to restore in case of errors. We always recommend testing the upgrade on a development site before doing it on your live site.

How is it different than the JReviews App Store
The JReviews App Store allows individually updating s2framework, JReviews and addons, but only one at a time. It has a limitation when upgrading to new major versions, because the JReviews App Store itself could break due to changes in the code after upgrading s2framework or JReviews.
That's were JReviews Deploy comes in. It's a standalone solution that goes through every installed product to update it and it does it in a cleaner way because it will uninstall and remove all stale files before installing the new versions.
Are my setup, directory data, and media files safe
The short answer is yes. The update process doesn't remove your existing setup or database information. Media files are stored separately from core files. You will lose your file customizations if you modified core files instead of using JReviews Overrides.
Customizations are not guaranteed to continue working on every update. We strive to introduce the least disruptions into the code, but that is not always possible and that is why it's always a good idea to review your customizations and make any necessary updates to ensure they continue working.
